I'm Wade Houchin, owner of 289 Sports Performance. I’m extremely excited to serve Celina and the surrounding areas to help athletes maximize their sports performance goals!
I’m a follower of Christ, husband, and father of 4 children. I carry an immense passion for training athletes and applying the most effective methods in the industry for holistic athletic performance.
At 289 Sports Performance, we pride ourselves on training both the body and the brain to optimize human performance. In doing so, we overthrow the status quo of outdated, ineffective, and unsafe methodologies that remain far too prevalent in our industry.
As a long time high school football coach, former college football player and gym owner, I understand the demands of sport and the intangibles that athletes must possess to compete at their utmost potential. Performance training is a key piece of that puzzle and many athletes simply don’t have access to a quality training experience.
I’m a life-long learner that is always seeking an edge to provide unique and proven methodologies to the health and wellness industry. ​It is my mission to consistently pursue knowledge and innovation in order to add value to my present skillset. I build my philosophy on timeless truths and a refusal to settle for the “Status Quo”.
289 Sports Performance is for the truly disciplined athlete and family who understands the importance of sports performance for increased athletic performance and injury reduction. You don’t have to be an elite athlete to train here with us, we’ll meet you where you are and elevate you from there!

Kearah Houchin is dedicated coach with 19 years of experience in junior high and high school Track and Field, along with several years as a Club Track coach. She has always had a passion for helping individuals unlock their full potential. With a certification as a Level 1 ATG Coach and a background deeply rooted in the weight room, she's seen firsthand the transformative power of coaching and mentorship.
She currently serve as the Co-Owner and General Manager of 289 Sports Performance, where she lead our Ladies Training Sessions, along with providing athletes and adults with the guidance and support they need to excel. Additionally, she works for Fellowship of Christian Athletes supporting the local coaches in North Texas as well being a Huddle Coach in Celina & Pilot Point fostering an environment of personal growth and development.
Her mission is simple but profound: to be the unwavering source of belief in others until they discover their incredible capabilities. She is driven by the desire to help individuals maximize their God-given gifts and abilities.

Zach Allton is a Personal Trainer with a passion for working with youth and high school athletes. He has worked with Wade Houchin for the past year training athletes and adults of all ages. Originally from the state of Washington, Zach moved to Nebraska and then to Texas to continue working for Wade.
Apart from training, Zach is also interested in playing sports, reading,working out, and the outdoors. He is a believer in Christ and his approach is driven by living out a godly life and showing God’s truth to others. He seeks to develop athletes both physically and mentally to prepare them for their sport and for life ahead.
Zach holds a Bachelors of Science in Applied Kinesiology from Corban University. He was a member of the Men’s Basketball team for four years and became interested in training athletes after suffering several consecutive knee injuries both in high school and college. He strives to always keep learning new methods to challenge his athletes and to create a fun atmosphere kids can look forward to being a part of.
JP is a dedicated Strength and Conditioning Coach with a passion for helping individuals reach their fitness goals. Armed with the SFG1 kettlebell instructor certification, ATG Level 2 and the FMS Level 1 accreditation, JP possesses a deep understanding of effective training methodologies.

Since 2020, JP has been actively coaching the general population, utilizing his expertise to tailor programs that promote strength, rehabilitation, mobility, and overall well-being. His commitment to continuous learning ensures that clients receive the most up-to-date and evidence-based training strategies, making JP a trusted resource for those striving to unlock their full physical potential.
Savannah is a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about nutrition and making healthy choices easy and realistic!
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from Texas State University and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Nutrition and Disease Prevention from The University of Texas at Austin.
She has worked as a Clinical Dietitian in the hospital, serving patients in acute care, and was involved in both the Joint/Orthopedic Surgery Committee and the Wound Care Committee. She is passionate about serving diverse populations and have provided compassionate nutritional support to the geriatric community. She is dedicated to optimizing health outcomes and enhancing the quality of life for individuals of all ages.
With a combination of academic knowledge, clinical experience, and an unwavering
commitment to excellence, she is dedicated to making lasting contributions to the field of nutrition and inspiring positive change in the lives of many.
